Golf Courses
Sandridge Golf Club: 5300 73rd Street, Vero Beach. (772)-770-5000
Dunes
Course: Par 72, yardage women’s tees are 4,944, men’s 5,544, champion 6,817.
Lakes
Course: Par 72, yardage women’s tees are 4,625, men’s 5,423, champion 6,152.
This facility has two excellent eighteen hole
courses. The Dunes Course was cut out of the natural dunes. The front nine is
so narrow that it's tough to hit a driver unless you have a very straight shot.
The back nine is open and designed to play similar to Turnberry in Scotland.
The fairways, tees, and greens are either elevated or hilly. Water hazards (six
ponds) come into play on four holes.
The Lakes Course is a shot maker's layout. You'll
probably only need your driver three times while playing this course. Water
comes into play on twelve of the eighteen holes. The signature hole is #14, a
401-yard, par 4.
